आपराधिक इज़राइलियों ने लड़ाई शुरू होने के कुछ देर बाद ईरान के सैन्य अधिकारियों को फ़ोन कर उन्हें और उनके परिवार को मारने की धमकी दी थी तथा उनसे समर्पण का वीडियो बनाने को कहा था. लेकिन उस समय के शॉक के बाद भी एक भी ईरानी अधिकारी ने ऐसा नहीं किया.
