If I had an audience I'd ask it if there are many actual women who have a problem with being included in "dudes", "bros" or "guys" or if it's primarily a sore spot for larping men who hate to be reminded of the immutable reality they're trying to conceal.

I often get chastised for hating people too much. The problem is that it's quite the opposite: I have some faith in humanity that just won't die in the face of ample evidence we're garbage by and large, and my bitterness stems from repeated disappointment, it's not a priori.

Free writing tip: don't start your exposition dump by a character saying "As you know, ..." to another character. If they already know there is no reason you would be telling them in great detail. It's irksome.
