Years ago, before verified accounts were a thing, back when I was on Eastenders, I was contacted multiple times by parents of children who had been “conversing” with me online. 11-15 year old children that had been talking with a fake me. I was informed one of these children-

Cops aren't wearing their uniforms to and from work right now because they're afraid someone might attack them or their families. Can you imagine that? Living with a constant fear of being killed by a complete stranger because, to them, you look like a threat?

There’s something very unsettling to me about the “only 3% will die and it’s mostly old people or people with bad immune systems!!!” crowd. Are we really THAT unashamed about how little we care about the elderly or the sick?
