~20 years ago we discovered that planar polarized contractility drives junction remodeling in fly embryos. This is conserved in vertebrates. In new article tinyurl.com/46hyry47, Sanjay and Mehdi show that Serotonin signaling controls MyoII activation in both systems. Enjoy🤩

Cannot agree more being a 7-year-PhD myself. Please stop judging students by the number of years they took in graduating. Everyone's PhD projects and goals are different. I had a hard time facing people when my junior in the lab graduated before me. science.org/content/articl…

I am happy to share that I am starting a new postdoc position at the Turing Centre for Living Systems @centuri_ls, France. I will be working on understanding the morphogenesis during early development of Drosophila embryo driven by mechanical deformations.
