Heading home after the latest @eu_modex testing CBRN capacities. Worked with great ExCON, venue and training teams. An array of challenges and sites for the modules to accomplish all week which they did to great effect. EU solidarity at its best 🇪🇺

Terrible news from Turkey, bringing back lots of memories of when we responded to the 2 EQs in the 90s. Thoughts are with all of the rescuers hopefully saving as many lives as possible.

More devastating news from Creeslough explosion this morning. I was actually stood in there in August so feels very personal. Thinking of all emergency services, volunteers, and of course families of those missing.

Well that’s a night of my life I won’t forget. Landed nearly 3 hours late in Munich, everything at the airport closed, no one to speak too, all surrounding hotels fully booked, so spent the last 6 hours on rock hard chair. Another 3.5 hours to wait!!
