This whole last name conversation is still an offshoot of a blind obsession with classism and materialism because when did the decision of choosing to not change your name as a woman have to be earned by how wealthy or famous you are?

It’s the same thing we do to women who are in their 30s or 40s where we say that their standards are too high. Or that a woman who’s a single parent or has a high body count does not deserve fidelity and commitment. It’s such an unwise position to maintain. So unwise.
