The problem with a marketised view of university, is that that the transformative educational power of it becomes secondary to the ‘rite of passage’ experience parents purchase & expect for their kids. There is a pandemic on - face to face activities will resume when it is safe!

Got myself a gift to cope with my last few days in the @SOASsu - spending my Saturday night re-energising for the week ahead with @RafeefZiadah and Brenna Bhandar! Learning and thinking about #RevolutionaryFeminisms has shaped my last 4 years at @SOAS and will continue doing so!

Add higher education to that list. Without government intervention, an estimated 30,000 uni jobs are at risk, with a further 32,000 jobs under threat throughout the wider economy. #FundTheFuture @RishiSunak the economy is set to lose £6bn if this happens. Will you intervene?
