After a month of being relatively confined to the house because of a depressive relapse, it feels great to be on the road to recovery. I have come to my happy place in France to chill with my sister and life feels good.

After a depressive relapse I am spending much of my time asleep. I genuinely feel tired but aware that I am wasting my life away. Any tips to get me out of bed would be welcome

It's been a hard couple of weeks with a major dip in my mood. Have received good support from mh services so that's a bonus. And today I managed to go on a long bike ride which cleared out the cob webs

Thanks to @shanebrown74 for this. The Department for Work and Pensions did not consult a SINGLE disability group on the proposed PIP eligibility changes before the Green Paper was published. Labour really doesn't care about disabled people. #TakingThePIP #DisabilityRebellion

Really struggling with work and the variability in shifts. I know as someone living with bipolar I need to be careful about my routine. And I fear I was daft to take this job as it has definitely started to destabilise me. I think sometimes that I am in denial about my condition.

I have decided to write a memoir about my bipolar recovery for my dissertation for my ma. I have just started to write it now and absolutely love how cathartic the process is. Oh and I got a distinction for my first year. I am so proud.

I have bought an electric bike to get to and from work. I can't tell you the joy I am getting from riding it. Just so much fun!

Coming up to the end of two weeks working. I have been doing very early shifts and I am unbelievably tired. The fight to keep well with an inconsistent shift pattern is a constant battle but I've got this!

A busy week and I find myself questioning if I have jumped too soon into work. But I am determined and going to try and make this work. I am well and if there is any point in my life I can make work a possibility, it is now. Tenacity and grit much needed.

I have my schedule now to start work next week. It has been a long time coming. But I am so proud that I have got to the stage when I am able to work again.

Feeling reflective on this Friday night. Bipolar is not a death sentence with the right support to recover. But I recognise my privilege in my recovery and know not everyone has the support that I received. I feel lucky and proud.
