A statement from KiX says there is "no link at a product level" between KiX and Football Index. But internal KiX documents call Football Index a "proof of concept" for KiX... This has very much not been "directly addressed in the press".

As a City fan, I’m not at all convinced it was unintended and the fact we rolled in just as the drawbridge closed upsets many. (2/2)
@josephmdurso @sotdsotd @CDEccleshare Joey, either FFP is working, and hence placing unfair restrictions on the likes of Everton, Villa, Brighton to grow and compete at the top, or it isn't working as "state" run clubs (but not clubs run by other billionaires) can spend what they like.... You can't argue it both ways
@josephmdurso @sotdsotd @CDEccleshare maybe the problem is clubs being owned by individuals, companies and even states then. If only there were some close at hand example of a football system that didn't allow for that.
