We found that a good model for tree locations is a sequential model where larger trees affect the locations of the smaller ones but not the opposite. Can be applied to forest inventories using remote sensing and spatial growth simulators. #openaccess doi.org/10.1007/s13253…
Interestingly #spatialpointpattern data of sweat glands contained some errors due to image analysis, and these errors were treated in the analysis of patterns in two different ways, either adding a noise component to the model or using inference that was robust to the errors.
