Data pages are 8192 bytes, but only 8060 bytes are used to store a row. The rest is used for overhead.
If you use multiple db instead of single db, each db would have to cache the same lookup tables and stored procedures for each database.
The fixed-lenght column takes up the fixed space even though it is null. Consider using variable-lenght columns.
When LDF lost.. Set Emergency -> Set Single User -> DBCC CHECKDB with REPAIR_ALLOW_DATA_LOSS -> Set Multi User -> Data may be Inconsistent!!
When I installed this SQL? "SELECT create_date FROM sys.server_principals WHERE sid = 0x010100000000000512000000"
Don't worry if you can not see query results in SSMS! Usually "Discard result after execution" option is on :)

While creating database snapshot,uncommitted transactions in snapshot rolled back. The actual transactions in source database are unaffected
If there is long-running transaction in source database, it can take a long time to create snapshot. You see recovery progress in sql logs
Don't forget to configure anti-virus exception for mdf,ndf,ldf data types after SQL setup. One of main the reasons for performance problems.
If you take "Property Owner is not available for Database [DBName]" error, set dbowner to sa account. USE DBName EXEC sp_changedbowner 'sa'
CHECKIDENT returns Null, IDENT_CURRENT returns '1' when executed against empty table. If IDENT_CURRENT returns NULL, you dont have perm.
We can move data files with only taking db offline. We had to restart services until 2008 to ALTER DATABASE take effect.
"BINN\templates" folder includes master, model, and msdb database and log files that were copied while installation. ( .mdf and .ldf files )
