DO students shouldn’t have to take two licensing examinations to be fairly considered by residency programs. So in this month’s @JournalofGME, the NBOME published concordance tables of COMLEX-USA and USMLE scores, which may help PDs when evaluating DO applicants. 🧵

I heard two little girls behind me in the grocery store today say “she looks like a doctor!” The dad responded saying “she does, she probably saves lives.” And I’m so happy for these little girls to see me in scrubs and think doctor. Maybe one day they’ll go into medicine too!

My dad has Parkinson's Disease, so my mom takes care of him. She bathes him, feeds him, opens his toes when they're cramping. She's his hands on the computer when he has crazy ideas and when he takes his continuation board exams. Does love like that exist in our generation?

My mom is freaking out that if Trump loses we're gonna see hate crimes against POCs rise in the next few weeks. Her fears are absolutely valid. To all my fellow POCs, please stay safe the next few weeks no matter what happens.
