FYI music majors in school in Fall 2020 are still being given all-white-male-composer listening lists in their classes and the only way I can think to combat this is by giving them extra optional alternative lists in their private lessons 😐

Musicians are maybe the most set-in-their-ways people ever. Tradespeople have CNC machines, architects have CAD, animators have Maya - and people not much older than me think my music isn't "real" because I made it on a computer instead of instruments from 400 years ago

Starting to see lots of high-school level composition courses/mentorships online with prominent composers, and I'll tell you now that my students who need these the most can't afford that $3000 price tag. Is your program addressing inequities, or perpetuating them? FTB is free 🤷‍♂️
