The Lurie division of nephrology stands with @LurieChildrens in opposing proposed cuts to Medicaid, which would endanger the health of children nationwide. We were glad to participate in the national CODE RED to save Medicaid ‼️🚨

One of Stella’s many interests is the role metabolic acidosis plays in accelerating GFR decline in children with chronic kidney disease, including those who have received a kidney transplant. Last year she was awarded the competitive NKF young investigator award for this work!
