Great consumer product people are often technical but that is neither necessary nor sufficient. What is both necessary AND sufficient? The empathy of a psychoanalyst + the curiousity of a sociologist. What do users want? Why do they get out of bed daily? What drives them?

Dear manager, Provide a safe and quiet space for people to experiment, be creative, intentionally struggle and grow. People are not afraid of failure, they are afraid of blame. A safe space, and a culture of learning and recognition, will unlock your team's full potential.
