@GreenFieldCoder @sftwrcraftman Pushing is a bad idea, but I don't think the notion of 'mature enough' holds water. Everybody wants to learn things that make their lives better. Identify problems. Solve them by applying lean/agile principles. Saying you can't do that until the team is "mature" is gatekeeping.

You just have to look at the McKinsey 2009 QIPP report. The introduction of AAPs to undermine Paramedics. The introduction of NAs to undermine Nurses (Check Ben Gummer of the 2016 dispute and now employed by McKinsey). The introduction of PAs, SCPs, AAs to undermine Doctors.

If you can glue together a database, some API calls, a UI, and maybe a service to make a working application, that's a huge accomplishment. If you can do it repeatedly it's a skill. No one should minimize it. But don't stop there. It's not the end.
