Been a developer for 10 years. I just Googled how to remove special characters from a string.
@sudo_overflow We all do that stuff. When it comes to regex, I forget everything 2 minutes after I learn it. Looking stuff up 1,000 times is just part of the job :)
@sudo_overflow It’s soooo easy. You just do: text.please().remove().specialCharacters();
@sudo_overflow You’re fired! How dare you google things?! Weak programmer 😒
@sudo_overflow No, you can't You must memorize all Otherwise shame on you.. 😂😂😂
@sudo_overflow There is a joke about programmers: Client: "Why do you charge $109 for this simple job? All you do is copy and paste." Programmer: "Actually this job costs $9. $100 goes for knowledge of what to copy and where to paste."
@sudo_overflow Today I wrote translate: transformX() and wondered for minutes why it didn’t had any effects
@sudo_overflow Aren't programmers supposed to be walking Wikipedia? YOU ARE NOT FIT FOR THIS JOB!!!
@sudo_overflow You are not a programmer if you cannot write Regex 😁🤣 Savage!
@sudo_overflow Me that still copy bootstrap table code from googling 😌 I can't come and stress my brain, so long am paid regularly am cool.
@sudo_overflow Bet you found the answer on the first try tho 😉
@sudo_overflow How about phone number or email regex validations? 😂
@sudo_overflow This is me on everything regex
@sudo_overflow I don't use Google. I use duckduckgo 🤣
@sudo_overflow I find it so interesting how far you can come not knowing x or y. It all depends on the use cases what you get to learn 🤓
@sudo_overflow Its a great relief to know that great devs @traversymedia also commit mistakes I am not feeling alone now 😁😁
@sudo_overflow Yeah but regex is a bitch to remember 😅
@sudo_overflow The biggest reason I quit being a dev is because I felt I was bad for googling. I never understood how all of you always remembered th entire C# language let alone all the ones you need to build anything. I’m seeing now it’s standard to google it’s ok to not know or to forget.
@sudo_overflow Again, it's justify-content or align-items?
@sudo_overflow Learning is continuous. Nobody knows everything but we know more and get better through continuous learning. So there is always a room for an improvement.
@sudo_overflow 😎 Recruiters must NOT see this thread, you get. 😎👨💻
@sudo_overflow Don’t see the problem. It’s what we all do, isn’t it?
@sudo_overflow Been a developer for 13 years, i still reading how to write Hello World in X , X and X.
