I work remotely and contrary to popular belief this doesn’t mean: - I have extra time - I’m not busy - My day is easier than yours - I don’t work as hard - I’m not as tired at the end of the day It’s still a full time job that requires my full time attention.
@sudo_overflow The only difference between remote and in office is removing the commute. That may still be a big difference, but it doesn't mean development isn't hard all of a sudden. Remote is still an incredibly important offering though. For some remote is make or break.
@sudo_overflow From my experience working full time remote- working remote requires more hard work then on place work
@sudo_overflow Agreed on most of the points, also working remotely now for a while and I have to say the first point at least is not true for me: not having to drive to work every morning saves 2x 30 min. for me which is really cool 😊
@sudo_overflow I reckon a lot of people have realised this over the last few months.
@sudo_overflow Working remotely I do actually have extra time, on the order of 2 hours or so.
@sudo_overflow This is so true. You choose time and place to work, but your work is still your work and your work will take about same amount of time and will stress you out.
@sudo_overflow True..With the #COVID19 I am working remotely from home since March ..
@sudo_overflow I liked my brief WFH time. I didn't have to overhear all of the BS of my co-workers.
@sudo_overflow I work much less than when I was working in a company. I am much more productive than before. Working 2-4 h a day in contrast of 8 h in a company + dont lose additional 1.5 hrs to travel to and from work. So basically I can now write this to you all & later check my Facebook too
@sudo_overflow I heard that no one does any work when they work remotely... it’s just Netflix isn’t it...
@sudo_overflow I worked remotely during "lockdown" and I was much more productive than when I am in the office. Probably because I was sitting comfortably at home and I wasn't really checking the time.
@sudo_overflow I do find I get lonely, then want to work in an agency and then when I do i remember I've lost the freedom to work on what interests me and whatever weird hours I want, then I want to freelance again, so I do and repeat 😂
