@IPSEAcharity @lb_southwark Independent special schools exist primarily because of the inadequacy of maintained special school provision. LAs should look to their own and central government's school place planning failures rather than blaming the existence of such schools.

@IPSEAcharity @lb_southwark I accept that many don't, but virtually everyone practising in this area can cite cases where LAs have defended hopeless cases all the way up to a hearing and thus delayed vital provision for children with SEND.
