Over the last year, I have had the pleasure of working with a team of researchers . Our team explored the historical impact of policies on the Black community in Sacramento, focusing on the forced displacement of Black businesses and residents and its aftermath.
Becoming a scholar is not easy. In particular, becoming a scholar whose contributions utilize qualitative data poses a unique challenge because this methodological approach demands unusual patience and is often subject to misplaced standards of rigor. Yet, there is joy in the end
