Yesterday Waterways Ireland staged a cynical workshop as a sop to the idea of public say in public space. We weren't about to stand idly by and let them greenwash away their cynical regime of hostile architecture and brutalisation of our homeless neighbours. Watch what happened.
We salute the community of Borrisokane for fighting for the international protection applicants among them and standing as one against the cynical politics of artificial scarcity and division by the government. You set an example the rest of the island is insipired to follow!

Dublin city is like an open-air prison cutting out *certain* people who the state sees as sub-human. Join @takebackspaces on Saturday at 1pm at the Dept. of Integration headquarters in Miesian Plaza, Baggot Street, to demand homes not barriers!
While Waterways Ireland claimed to have consulted with unnamed representatives of the community, our activists are actually doing it. We hit the streets of Rathmines and Portobello last night to talk to our neighbours about our protest this Saturday to home the homeless.
The Free State is more interested in removing homeless people from view than removing homelessness itself. Support the demo on Saturday, 17th August at 1pm at Green Party Minister, Roderic O'Gorman's Department for "Integration..." to demand our public space back!
