Spring Break means a #gamification refresh! I’m developing a new “Galaxy Map” game board for my Ss to interact with the #MARVEL #LEGO universe. Made these using wooden hexagons, magnets, and paint. Each Team has their own magnet thumb tack, and takes an action each turn. #XPLAP

A4: My students take the Bartle Quiz, where it reveals their RL play style. This narrows down their starting character abilities, or (LEGO) “Special”. For example, the provoker has the ability to use counter intelligence and subterfuge, and thwart other teams! #xplap

Success! My Ss were challenged with a teamwork exercise- Breakout Edu! Ss needed to unlock 6 codes in 45 m before obtaining the Space Stone. They were so excited when they finished! Now the race is on to try to obtain the gauntlet... #LEGO #Marvel #gamification #xplap #iteach5th

A4: I actually ask willing Ss to fill out a Google Form that asked a series of game-related questions (what are the best aspects, worst aspects, coolest items, what ideas do you have.) I’ve gotten some GREAT ideas from reading their responses! #XPLAP

A3: My Ss go on sidequests to complete their armor / job uniforms on their physical #LEGO character in class. For example, they need the headgear, the upper body, lower body and hand accessory. If they acquire them all they get a special job ability! #xplap
