So many people seek out high level answers to avoid the real, hard work of improving step by step. Sometimes the most advanced thing you can do is the basics consistently.

You are not a victim, you’re in control. Cynics don’t want results, they want an excuse not to take action. The problem and the solution is you.

Two things that can define you. Your patience when you have nothing and your attitude when you have everything.

Look at the weaknesses of others with compassion and empathy, not accusation. It's not what they're not doing or should be doing that's the issue. The issue is your own chosen response to the situation and what YOU should be doing.

Your Problems Aren't Special. Someone poorer than you has made it. Someone busier than you is getting it done. Someone with more problems than you is still pushing. Excuses won't save you. Action will.

We are measured by the size of our thinking. Capacity is a state of mind. How much you can do, depends on how much you think you can do.

Action cures fear and motions are the precursors to emotions. Managed motions can predict emotions. It is difficult to control our emotions, it is a lot easier to control our motions.

Sometimes your prayers aren’t answered because you’re worth more than what you’re asking for.

What holds many people back from taking initiative is not laziness. It's fear. Some ideas won't work. Some people will say no. But in the long run, it's better to fail than to fail to try. Inaction breeds rumination and feeds anxiety. Action builds momentum and fuels confidence.

There are people less qualified than you. Doing the things that you want to do. Simply because they decided to believe in themselves.

Gods plan for your life far exceeds the circumstances of your day.

You get out of life what you work for. Not what you feel like you deserve.

When you’re feeling overwhelmed, stressed, inundated, resentful, angry, unappreciated or frustrated, ask yourself one question. Who did I help today? Gratitude and humility is very often the antidote.

Progress doesn't come from waiting for our circumstances to change. It comes from changing our circumstances. We don't need confidence to take a leap. We gain confidence by taking the leap. It's never too soon to start pursuing a dream. The best time is not someday, it’s today.

If you’re in early recovery, the progress you make is entirely up to you and your ability to be honest with yourself. Take some time to examine the level of honesty in your life and then ask yourself if you’re okay with that.

Peace is retraining our minds to process life as it is, rather than as we think it should be.

Acceptance, gratitude, humility, accountability, honesty. If you’re in early recovery and you don’t know where to start, start there. Do not be upset with the results you did not get, from the work you did not do.
