Today, Jon Stewart testified about the important of extending the 9/11 fund past 2020, to handle the health and welfare of first responders who went to Ground Zero and worked there, suffering greatly in the years hence. I'd like to add something to that discussion, something new.

In the past week, I was handed a cache of 2,400 photos taken at Ground Zero from the end of September to beginning of October, 2001. They were taken by a worker who was there with a Canon Powershot G1, and who snapped away while toiling through the wreckage.
@textfiles Please take a few minutes to take a look at this important thread, y'all. Jason Scott, through the lens of this unnamed photographer, brings the experience of workers at Ground Zero to life in a real and immediate way. These folks deserve our concern.
@textfiles Powerful stuff. In one room we have all that's bad about American and all that is good about America. P.S. the tossers are the ones up high looking down on everyone else and saying 'thanks for the sacrifice but fuck you'
@textfiles Thank you for sharing the photos with us. The world needs to see this. Also, I was told to go back to taking film photos because data are lost more often using digital mediums and analog films last a lifetime if stored correctly. Is that true?
@textfiles Powerful stuff. Your doing a serious historical service Jason.
