A user named RitchCraft has been diligently uploading many computer drivers. Lots of realms of computer history are at risk, but drivers especially. Companies dump off driver collections randomly and their stuff stops working or goes opaque without them. archive.org/details/driver…
The reason malware and ad sites can attract so many people to their sketchy-as-hell-looking pages is because someone will be up against the wall looking for a driver they need and they'll walk past every sign this is a terrible idea. I'm trying to encourage an archive to fix that
Besides these piles of drivers, there's also driver CDs galore. That collection is located here: archive.org/details/cdinst… - there's many more scattered around the archive and when I can I'll keep consolidating them into these collections. Keep the machines running and the history!
