@textfiles Allen's sister has involved herself to a disappointing extent in many things
@textfiles Wow. Thanks for this article. Confirms a lot of assumptions I’ve had around the LCM, and shed more light on the rest. Sent you an email, glad to assist in any way that makes sense.
@textfiles "Time and space warp around money" made me think of Disco Elysium. discoelysium.fandom.com/wiki/Mega_Rich…
@textfiles It is quite common for wealthy people to donate their valuable (and expensive to maintain) collections to a non-profit they create. Big tax write-offs for years to come. Yet they still retain complete access to it and their accountants are happier. Ends quickly after they die.
@textfiles A timely and thoughtful piece. I saw SMJ a few weeks ago to see what @sdf_pubnix has been up to and it’s inspiring. Anyone interested in vintage systems and SDF’s preservation efforts should visit the ICM website and consider joining: icm.museum/join.html
@textfiles Need to read this in detail. Visited the LCM a few years ago and was very surprised when I heard about it being closed and stuff auctioned.
