If you want kids to love #literacy - LET THEM READ THINGS THEY LOVE! You can never be too old for a book, or the wrong gender. The books we love are the ones that make us readers, and choice is a right all readers should have. #InternationalLiteracyDay (Art: Quentin Blake)

Is there a Halloween story you wish was adapted for #ESL students? Last year I adapted The Monkey's Paw, because it's a great story but the original language is inaccessible. I'm thinking about a new one for this year....

I've been making videos in Spanish for my distance learners. I got this student email today: "You speak very good Spanish. Keep practicing and then you will speak it perfect!" I love that she turned the tables and gave me this (overly generous!) feedback!
