Having a phone out and in your possession was never one that was a thought because you automatically know that's very dangerous.

When you first do the driving part of drivers ed, your teacher will tell you to move anything that may distract you or cause an accident.

I hope to see more police officers enforcing and giving out tickets for those who don't follow the rules on texting and driving.

In 2013, 3,154 people were killed in distraction-related crashes.

Around 660,000 drivers attempt to use their phones while behind the wheel of an automobile.

A lot of times people also think it may be okay to send a text message or two while at the stop light

Snapchat for example: they have a filter that has the speed that the car is going, but then tells you in the next one don't text & drive

Social media often advertises about not texting and driving but some of them actually play into it.

Texting and driving can also put pedestrians in danger of possibly being hit.

Teens now take driving so lightly because they don't believe they could be a statistic.

The age for driving should be pushed back a bit to allow drivers to fully develop before taking on a task so large

Adults need to learn to be more of an example to young adults. They follow based off of what they see; everything has to be taught somehow

If you're ever in the car with a driver who is texting and driving, it is okay to let them know you feel uncomfortable

A class should be taught even after drivers ed, right after getting your license, to remind the driver about the dangers.

The more they hear about different stories and the many risk, the more it'll change their perceptions.

One day, I hope to see many more organizations out to help teen drivers and raise awareness
