.@theORispresent aims to make Korle Lagoon swimmable again within five years. Inspired by Yvette's swim, they believe communities can work together to clean up the heavily polluted lagoon that was once a sacred swimming hole & food source for Accra natives. 🦅🇬🇭
In addition to swimming between 10 to 20 kilometers every day, Yvette and the expedition crew take water and air samples every day to check for microfibers and microplastics following the same protocols as The Or Foundation team gathering samples in Accra.
