Humility is required for men and women of God. So is repentance. And mercy with joy. And kindness. And justice. And grace. Women are not superior to men. Men are not superior to women. This is a debate we need to stop having.

We might find "Christian Twitter" entertaining. But what does an unbeliever see when they watch our interactions? Do they see a clear example of Jesus? Would they walk away from their screen with a better understanding of the holiness of God and the grace of the gospel?

We want to address violence in society while ignoring, or even cultivating, a culture of anger and contempt. May God bless those efforts, because we need less violence, but I’m afraid that we won’t see the kind of change we seek until we do deeper work.

Parent's, if you are concerned your children are being "indoctrinated" in school, I suggest the following: 1 Take your discipleship seriously. 2 Embody faithfully the faith you want your children to the make their own. 3 Love them with time. 4 Attend church faithfully.

To me, the most chilling part about Jan 6 is that no one is saying it didn't happen or DJT wasn't involved. The debate is about whether it should be taken seriously. Does it merit accountability & outrage? And whew boy, some folks got a really high threshold for abuse of power.

We must not cultivate warring men because strength can serve evil as easily as it does goodness. Instead, we must cultivate men who love God & love their neighbors as themselves. And when the time comes, this love will give them the courage & wisdom they need to resist evil.

If the Church is not living both in respect of the created or moral order and for the needs and lives of the oppressed and outcast, it is not following its Lord. Both sides of the coin are constantly dismantled everywhere you look. Refuse the compromise. Live fully for Christ.
