this is one of the most obvious attempts to misclassify an employee as a contractor I've seen in a while
it's also illegal to post a job in New York without a pay range.
@thetomzone They say PTO so it has got to be a W2 job, not a contractor. You are paid for 29 hours a week, expected to work more.
@thetomzone I’ve worked 40 hrs/week as a producer for four years at the same company and am still a contractor. No benefits, no PTO, nothing. I get to work from home, though, which makes it worth it.
@thetomzone "permalance" ? Yes, we've just made up a word for a non-employee who will not work enough hours to be considered full-time, but still be expected to work 20-30+ extra hours unpaid.
@thetomzone @annamerlan "permalance" is an absolutely laughable phrase.
@thetomzone roast (at)callingcaterina
@thetomzone She took it down. 😢
@thetomzone Gotta love the “29 hours per week” so They don’t have to provide health benefits
