TUSL will be starting weekly events following the festive break. This weeks event will focus on the Bohemia Road area and surrounding roads and pathways. Members to meet in Upper Clarence Road at the top of Upper Park Road on 5th January for 10.00 start.

This weeks TUSL event will focus on Wishing Tree Road and surrounding areas. Members to meet at playing field at junction with Church Wood Drive on 15th December for 10.00 start.

Ok peeps I am signing off from the Twitter account for Tidy Up St Leonard's as I have stepped down as a trustee. Hopefully one of my trustee colleagues will be taking it on. Thanks you all for the support and interaction. The group goes on making our area clean and Tidy.

This week we were in Hollington, good news is there was less litter, but we still got several bags of litter. Loads of local support, just a shame the person tasked with disposal of the Covid signs just threw them in the bushes.

Hi everyone, Asda Green Token Giving have included us this month. You can vote either in store or online, vote once a week until 30th of November, please vote for us. Each volunteer gets a complete kit (£50) to enable them to take up litter picking safely asda.com/green-tokens

Our group collected and removed 45 Tesco abandoned trolleys from the streets and woodland around the store. Collected by Trolleywise, Tesco now get charged to get them back, madness? Cheaper than sending staff out to collect them? #lockthetrolleys @HastingsObs @1066Tweets

Our third and final trip out with the Hastings 3rd cubs last Wednesday was just as successful as the previous two. Never have I seen such enthusiasm for picking litter. If these youngsters are anything to go by, the future is brighter.

Back for our second event after Covid restrictions, we were on the Castleham estate. Much cleaner than previous visits but still plenty of grot cleared. Then in the evening some of us joined the 3rd Hastings Cubs on their 3 week litter picking experience. #livewithoutlitter

As if litter doesn't take long enough to rot, this collection has been preserved in salt. To be fair there are no litter bins for miles and I guess this is better than being thrown in the wood as normal. @hastingsbc @1066Tweets @HastingsObs

Because we care. Today we would like to thank all of our volunteers who give up part of your weekend to pick up litter. There are also many who do so being no part of this group, we want to thank them all. If you are out in the next few days take a drink and cover up.
