In Vietnam, it took 20 years of war for 63 journalists to die. In Gaza, it took 63 days. There has never been a conflict in recorded history that's killed this many journalists this fast. The silence of our politicians and bosses is deafening. therover.ca/journalists-in…
@titocurtis @AndrewBerkshire Vietnam was a war mostly fought in jungles. While this is an urban war in a dense population centre where one side gleefully uses civilian spots as military bases. That's what's happening here. Not some sort implication of targetting by the IDF.
@titocurtis In WW2, before May 1942 alone, 4,000 to 10,000 commissars were specifically shot, not simply being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
@titocurtis Talk to me about the north Vietnamese journalism…in a conflict like Gaza,Syria,Ukraine, and else journalist are part of conflict.the new fighting range are Twitter facebook and more so The Press is part of the reach. It’s part of the philosophy of total war.
@titocurtis Could it be that Gaza at 365 sq. kilometres vs Vietnam's 331, 700 sq. kilometres has something to do with it? or are you implying that journalists are targeted?
@titocurtis Indiscriminate killing, I think Biden called it. Remember those halcyon October days where we were questioning the accusation Israel might have bombed a hospital parking lot?
@titocurtis And these aren’t the faux journalist who sanguinely allow Julian Assange languish in a British Super Max. for crime of journalism, but REAL reporters - and that’s their crime.
@titocurtis When did you became a Nazi antisémite? ( trolls in your mention)
@titocurtis Maybe because they are targeted…Just maybe..
