In business and life. Poor planning = setting yourself for failure. Today my son was admitted to hospital. I recently changed insurers and he's been admitted during the small gap which I overlooked. Fail. Epic Fail. Get well fella. ❤️

Another Australian building company bites the dust. This is sad because it effects many others - 130 projects, let's assume families - 80 employees - $2.6m owed to 77 tradies Huge knock on effect. Use offshore employees where possible. Stay competitive.

Wish I knew this earlier. I started Brazilian JiuJitsu in 2004. If I trained 2x a week for 20 years I'd be a ninja now 🥷🥋 Instead I trained a couple years, then years off, then back on, rinse & repeat. I eventually gave up - consistency & discipline was my undoing.

X can be depressing reading people's business killing it. Meanwhile you're grinding away struggling. Be happy for them, celebrate their success. Who know what sh1t they had to go through. The market is big enough for everyone. Stay positive. Keep at it.

Pay day As an employee, best day of the month. As a SME owner pay day in the begining gave me anxiety. Could I meet it? Did I did to inject more funds in? Over time this got easier and knowing it contributes to mortgages, savings goals etc provides a sense of achievement.

Location. Location. Location. In hindsight, I should have taken that advice for my gym in Singapore. Foot traffic play a huge role in success. No foot traffic means you need to draw them to you and you begin with an already narrow sales funnel. You cant change peoples behavior!
