Failure will feel differently for all of your athletes. Some will deal with it well, learn from it, and grow from it. Some will struggle with failure. Don't write these athletes off. They just need to learn what failure can teach them.

Lots of good stuff in here about HS and youth sports participation. One nugget in the stats is that 20% of HS students would like to try skateboarding as a physical activity. I'm curious if any HS's offer skateboarding as a club sport? @AspenInstSports @USASkateboard

Just like having athletes who are bigger, faster, and stronger will help a team win games- Athletes who are adaptable, confident, and calm will also win. It is in your best interest as a coach to have athletes that can excel both physically and mentally.
