New Year same problems - odd man rushes, can't get puck out of zone, no cycle game (they have never been able to cycle), no offensive pressure. They've had these same problems for the better part of 20 years.

CBJ it's looking like Brad Larsen has lost his team. They look like they have quit playing for him. Lots of embarrassing losses but this one was looks really bad

CBJ Perfect example of the powder puff media coverage. CBJ are down 1 and shot advantage is 16-3 in favor of NJ yet Jody Shelley said it was a good period for the Jackets.....Really? Come on man you're insulting your fanbase with comments like that

CBJ It's early but a quick observation. It's obvious by his aggressive play that Elvis is really fed up with his Dmen just standing around in front of the net.

CBJ media always give you a powder puff "rose colored glasses" spin on the the state of The Blue Jackets. Elvis gave a honest/accurate explanation. It's refreshing as a fan not to hear all the BS. The fans are booing for a reason.

CBJ's Larson is moving quickly to being on the hot seat with the pathetic start to the season. He is putting management in a very tough position - lack of effort by players has to be a big concern.

NHL great game Avs versus Pens. The NHL is the only pro sport left that allows the players to dictate the outcome. One penalty called. At the opposite end of the spectrum is the NFL - unwatchable

I like Jody Shelly. A good buddy of mine trained him during his playing days but I have to wonder at times if we're watching the same game. We gave up two goals, one short-handed and he just called it a great road start. Really? I want your mirror.

It's reached a point for me where sports are becoming unwatchable. All the commentators do is debate fouls, penalties, replays that are broken down by the frame. They bring in a rules official to critique the other officials on the field/ court. Too much paralysis by analysis

I can't stress enough how great it was to hear JD's insight. He is missed in the booth. He focuses on hockey details that our announcing team just don't comprehend instead of being a cheerleader. What a night and day difference.

It's easy to forget how great of a hockey analyst JD was when he did games. Mr Shelly should listen and learn. Instead of constant ego massaging provide the kind of critical analysis and in game strategy taking place. It was great to hear someone actually providing insight. Nice!

CBJ It's humorous to listen to the media heap praise after another loss. You took 6 penalties, made a horrible icing right after scoring which lead to another opponent goal within a minute of you taking the lead, were offsides taking away a goal. Wake up Columbus Media

I was very critical of making Larsen the guy but I like the open, face paced, mentality he seems to be pushing. He's letting the guys play without all the handcuffs. It's a much more modern style of play. Attack instead of retreat. This should help with guys wanting to play here

If I'm honest didn't love hearing Voracek was returning to the Columbus. His game hasn't changed much - still struggles to score. However he does have a calming presence and if I had to pick Voracek or Laine right now I would pick Voracek.
