@tsoding It is true. I remember millennia ago When I started using Linux even the best guides (like the one from gentoo) although detailed and useful make every step feel dangerous and complex
@tsoding I wonder what will be when people like Linus or Gabe won't be around anymore to tend their projects
@tsoding Love him. We need bullying back and leave behind this PC behaviour era. People sacrificed common sense for "good manners".
@tsoding I don't think it's about taking pride in doing simple things in an over complicated manner, it's just that with Linux I can access *my* hardware and most parts of *my* system directly and by design. And it run mostly everywhere, so it attracts a particular type of people...
@tsoding Linus sounds so based I would go on a bender with him shitting on all the haters.
@tsoding Linux is a really good kernel. But I hate everything about the traditional user space: the “openness” of the ecosystem makes everything unnecessary complex with hard dependencies on D-Bus. and it doesn’t even “just work”
@tsoding He should have known human nature, esp. the not so convenient aspects of it that like to get rabidly denied by the ones showing them the most.
@tsoding All these Linux Psy Op operators on YouTube (you know who you are, you shills). pushing Linux NEVER talks about the BVP47 APT by the GLOWIES.
@tsoding For the sake of the Linux project, you want him to remain who he was (and is!) ;)
