Hey @AILANational How about just asking for the EB visa bulletin dates to be moved up significantly in October to prevent green card waste? That will actually help everyone. Breath not being held, but open to being shocked and surprised.

I have seen tech companies support 1) DACA; 2) no asylum transit ban; 3) parole programs; 4) refugee program — and pretty much every program you can imagine that does not actually help their main cadre of employees. Time to step up here and do the right thing. Do something!!

Our policy of excluding professionals with advanced degrees (EB-2) from becoming Americans if they were born in India is now broadening to exclude “priority workers” with “extraordinary abilities” or “outstanding professors or researchers” (EB-1) if they were born in India.

Two points: 1) the visa bulletin at this point is just trolling. It is offensive. 2) we can do better than publishing an openly discriminatory document each month and having people who actually know about immigration actively defend this atrocity. #greencardbacklog.

If you were born in India and applied for US permanent residency in 2012… You're still waiting. Unemployed over 60 days? Die? Your family is deported. If you were born anywhere other than India or China and applied in 2021… You've already been granted permanent residency.

@USCIS @USCISDirector This EAD(I-765)/AP(I-131) process for pending I-485 application can not get more screwed up that what its is right now. By decoupling EAD/AP USCIS has created more problems for the backlogged applicants with pending I-485 especially from India and China. 1/n

America excludes people from becoming permanent residents of the US solely because they were born in India. This must change. Pressure to change it must broaden beyond just the Indian immigrants themselves.

Question 5 — why can’t the people asking for equality be nicer These individuals were the nicest group in Washington from 2006 to 2019. They gave flowers to people that cursed them. It got them nowhere. They are still very nice. But they realized no one is coming to save them

Question 4 con’t — Moreover, per country limits actually force employers to violate Title VII of the civil rights act by forcing them to take national origin into account when making employment decision. This is why country caps are particularly nonsensical in employment visas!

Question 4 (con’t) - country caps make NO SENSE with employment based green cards. A DOL application was made proving a need for a worker on a set date. That is the moment the job must be filled, not 200 years later. What difference does the nationality of the worker make?
