Holy crap the '06 Sloan is a monster. Typical Rutherford dust, after a couple of hours it opened up so beautifully. It'll remind you of some great vintage of Scarecrow. The '07 Abreu Madrona was great too, but tannins are still heavy. 🍷

Lunch in LA hits differently... it's really hard to drink great reds when whites are so electric. G-Max is really on another level of all rieslings. When you catch it at the right moment it reminds you slightly of a chablis.

The best kind of dinners are in an alley of an iconic LA restaurant with some amazing burgundy and champagne. The '14s are on fire, one of the most electric vintages, great balance of acidity and minerality. Rav was tight compared to Lamy, it has years ahead.
