ED raids on Yes Bank founder Rana Kapoor’s house seem pure optics to show govt is taking some action. The material on which ED is acting - Yes Bank alleged links with DHFL or India Bulls- had existed & been extensively documented/reported last year. No response then!

RBI governor being disingenuous when he says timing of Yes Bank takeover appropriate. Truth is interest payment for bonds issued by Yes Bank was due today and it was unable to meet its obligation risking a big credit downgrade. RBI should have known this was coming!

Can’t understand FM ‘s logic. She insists Yes bank loans are UPA period loans. Then how have they increased 400% since 2015? An increase from Rs.55,000 crore to Rs.2,40,000 crore in 4 yearsduring Modi period. Did Manmohan Singh sanction?Can’t seem to have a rational discourse!

As expected FM says Yes Bank problem happened in UPA era. In reality its llending grew 400% during Modi govt’s 5 years when overall annual bank lending growth was in single digit. Who was the Bank lending to? RBI should reveal NPAs of this period?

Loan book ( in rupee crores) of YES Bank grew mostly under BJP rule: FY2014: 55,000 FY2015: 75,000 FY2016: 98,000 FY2017: 1,32,000 FY2018: 2,03,000 FY2019: 2,41,000 Can’t always blame previous regimes!
