been struggling with productivity crash post-workout and meals. i know about caffeine, but can't have more than 2 cups a day what else works for you to refuel?
Here is what has worked for me: 1. I’ve figured that according to the season (summer, monsoon, etc) - my body has a threshold for workout and productivity. In summers I wake up really early but in monsoons I wake up late. The objective is to wake up refreshed without “that tired feeling”. So I’ve changed the timing of my workout and productivity hours accordingly. I also reduce or increase workout intensity accordingly. 2. I always ensure if not 25 gms of protein but at least 50 gms of protein is had as the very first meal. 3. I’ve started taking power naps in the afternoon. It resets my body amazingly. 4. Have reduced black coffee to just one cup post afternoon nap. 5. As usual, I don’t eat anything after sunset and it continues to impact my sleep in a very positive way. 6. Always always take supplements prescribed by my doctor basis my blood reports which I check minimum twice a week. Lack of Vitamin D and B12 does a number on my mind and body.
@unitysingh_ Post-workout, try to simply doze off to a good sleep. Once you wake up, productivity would be 10X. About meals, train yourself to always avoid afternoon naps no matter what. Do that for 1 full week and see the difference.
@unitysingh_ Sparkling water has done the trick for me :o
@unitysingh_ pref eat more protein less carbs in meals and pref 50% of total satiation worked for me
@unitysingh_ "productivity crash post-workout" is new for me; never felt it. post-meal yes; mix of fasting + a light walk post a heavy meal helps
@unitysingh_ I’ve tried a sequence of food actually. Protein first, then fibre and then carbs. It has helped me reduce feeling sleepy quite a lot. Or, a 15 minute nap before your lunch and then the sequence. Helps quite a bit.
@unitysingh_ A small walk outside in a park (lucky that I have a park just in front of my house) helps me.
@unitysingh_ "know about caffeine" 💀 read a book and slump into a short nap/meditation
