Build the simplest thing that could possibly work. Do that repeatedly and put in the work to keep the system simple, and leave the codebase better than you found it.

For the interpreter I tried being Swifty and used enums, but you end up with lots of switch statements. In the end I wondered if classes would be better, particularly to reuse functionality. But grouping every case for each functionality is also nice too.
I’d like a language that’s as expressive as Elixir but runs on the ObjC runtime.

IMO learning to code is too difficult today. When I learned to code in the 90s, there was no C++ STL, Java didn’t have lambdas, and there was only about 3 main programming languages. It should be far simpler.

I wonder if there’s some value to scaling coding agents back to getting very simple tasks right and gradually working out from there. It seems as if the goal is to one shot with a percentage accuracy, whereas having lower capability with 100% accuracy would be more useful.
