Yesterday UVA administration held a bogus “town hall” where they didn’t let anyone speak and lied about the police violence on Saturday. So now UVA faculty are holding our own town hall to voice our concerns and discuss what must be done moving forward. Please share far & wide♥️
We are appalled that someone would paint over the UVA strong memorial. This was done by an unaffiliated unknown individual and we condemn this action. We intend to repaint and repair the memorial as soon as possible and are actively sourcing supplies to do so.
🚨🚨 BREAKING: UVA students are receiving notices of academic repercussions for participating in a peaceful protest that was escalated by the university after it called in State Police SWAT teams. Horrific and unconscionable.

Never forget that Virginia cops did more to stop students protesting genocide in Charlottesville than they did to stop Nazis from marching and murdering in Charlottesville.
Here are students watching from the library as their fellow students get arrested by state riot police for peacefully demonstrating.
City, county, and state police including some in riot gear have shut down part of campus, not letting anyone in or out. Threatened students with arrest if they don’t disperse despite gathering being lawful and legal.
UVA sicced the police on their students. Cops in riot gear were transported to the encampment via the University Transit Service.

When neo-Nazis torch marched on UVa Grounds in 2017 and brutally attacked students the cops did….. literally nothing.

What the fuck is this kind of thing doing on my campus, being wielded against my students
after telling students their tents violated school policy, UVA administrators discovered the tents do not actually violate school policy so they simply changed the school policy without any notice whatsoever.
