ENVIRONMENT ARTIST TIP! "Modularity" does not just apply to buildings and stuff like that, you can use it down to small isolated props as well. All of the computers in my next scene are built out of modular pieces and kitbashed with knobs, sliders, handles, screens, gauges, etc.
