I’ve had an autoimmune disorder my whole life but it was only 5 years ago that the symptoms of it coalesced enough to make me see it as a disability. Only a month ago was I officially diagnosed. If you don’t mask generally but say you “mask around the vulnerable” no you don’t.

microlabels are good, actually. they're helpful to people with nuanced identities. we shouldn't turn our noses up or make disparaging remarks about microlabels because they help queer and marginalized people express themselves authentically.
