Great support for the Ukrainian families in Blacklion for the local community in donations of bikes, toys, kitchen equipment and clothes. Great support also from St Vincent DePaul and those who have given financially.

I’ve been working with Ukrainian families in Blacklion over the last 10 days on their social welfare claims, medical card applications and arranging for their children to be enrolled in local school.

Been working on behalf of Ukrainian families this week to help organise an Information event to be held in Cavan on Thursday evening.

Family Carers meeting in Ballyconnell this evening assisting with accessing supports and services when caring for a family member. Good presentation from the Dementia Advisor from the Alzheimers Society.

Working on re-establishing our arts project for adults with disabilities in Cavan and Virginia.

Good meeting this morning with HSE staff to assist them with identifying cohorts who have not been vaccinated for COVID 19 and to plan pop up clinics.

Good planning meeting between Cavan County Local Development and CMETB staff yesterday to plan Community Education classes for disadvantaged individuals and localities.

Pleased to link TÚS participants with CMETB for manual handling and horticultural courses in Belturbet.

Great to see the renovations of the old Belturbet Fire Station underway which will be transformed into a new youth centre. It’s been great to be part of this project team.

Pleased to attend the presentations from our Board to individuals and organisations who supported us in food deliveries to families throughout Co. Cavan during COVID restrictions.
