So a question to you turf gurus. Seen this a several times Heard it called several things. Very light, sort of lime green spots on A1/A4 Bentgrass greens. Similar to $ spot sizes but can spread into a “splatter” appearance. Caused by water, too many strobi? Any thoughts?

Well we are opening up, people are back on the roads.And the many communities are making up for lost revenue. The police are everywhere.On a trip to Athens and back today I saw at least 8 cops sitting on the side doing radar and about that many writing tickets. Be careful!

Golf! You can socially distance yourself easily on the course. It’s the last relief from too much time spent with.... the other people in your house. Brown liquor and cigars will help. Clubs! Put you staff under canopies. Fire up the grill. Keep a nice distance and LIVE!

Looking at the soil temp map, looks like we are in the mid 50s. Who is getting ready for large patch prevent on their zoysia? Soon? Or let it run a bit longer anticipating cool temps? Or already got it done? 60 degree 3 day avg is the trigger. Thoughts?

And now, we are looking at a strong possibility of a La Niña year. That’s half the drought. Bring the Bermuda high west a couple of hundred miles and that’s the other half. We shall see.Whatever the good Lord serves up, we will to make the best of it. Thy will be done.

It was thirteen years ago when we were all praying for rain. We were praying at meetings together. And each day on the courses we prayed alone or with staff. Governor Purdue prayed at the capital. Every church prayed. Experts predicted years before Lake Lanier would fill.
