Just tried the "blanch for 5 minutes and ice bath" method of deskinning tomatoes. The skins just sloughed right off. Usually, the tomatoes put up a heroic resistance. Kind of anticlimactic really.

Welp, spent all weekend doing filthy physical labor for the church's community projects. Had a great time. Might have poison ivy. But later at the "cook out" I got hairy eyeball for eating a hamburger *and* a hot dog! You can't even break even some days SMH.

I really liked the movie "Sinners." Almost bought the disc at walmart the other day. Maybe it's because if you pull out a resonator guitar in act 1 you have my attention. Maybe it's because the world needs more "Gangster vs. Monster" movies. It is what it is. Will rewatch.

Call Leno, O'Brian, and Ferguson. Ask for recs of young talent. Say to the pick "Here's a small, but to you, an unimaginably large sum of money. Put on a show that's fun and interesting without insulting large swaths of the American people. Seems like this should be simple.
