A few weeks ago I posted an adult bark roach (Lanxoblatta rudis) and today I'm posting its nymph. The "starry night" look is a teneral stage right after molting and before camouflage pigmentation appears. You can also see the network of tracheal tubes responsible for respiration.
@wizentrop Beautiful. I'm saving this because I just got a flash inspiration for my space-opera story. A massive insectoid alien life form with black transparent carapace and with glowing intricate "starry night" pattern like this.

@wizentrop How cool looking is that! I remember the first time I saw a ladybug emerge and was blown away at its pale color thinking that I had just happened to witness a colour morph/mutant but as I continued to watch it it got darker and regular coloured
