everyone sexualizes the power dynamics between dr & patient, so many ppl crack jokes abt how sexually vulnerable/violating certain aspects of healthcare can be, but if you actually bring it up as a serious concern/issue or are traumatized by it, suddenly -you’ve- made it weird

read a lot of generic “my path to healing” survivor memoirs but this is the first one i read that walked up to the edge of vague feminist musings about the kinds of misogynistic cultures that enable abuse and then went “i’m learning to heal from feeling this way”
